El Greco Museum

The only Spanish museum devoted to the work of this painter, its aim is to divulge the work and promote an understanding of Domenikos Theotokopoulos, or El Greco, and to educate the public about the influence of his work and person on the Toledo of his time. Located in an old traditional house typical of Toledo, the museum was founded in the early twentieth century by the 2nd Marquis de la Vega-Inclán. On exhibit at the museum are some paintings by the Cretan artist as well as other art works and decorative art pieces from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
