Santa María De Úbeda Church
Known as La Real Colegiata y Sacra Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor de los Reales Alcázares de Úbeda, this church was built upon the ruins of the ancient main mosque after the conquest of the town by King Ferdinand III "The Saint" and consecrated as Our Lady of Assumption, which today is the Patron Saint of Úbeda.
Over its Gothic structure, a variety of styles co-exist, such as Renaissance and Baroque. Its façades, gorgeous cloister and its rich interior ironwork are what led this site to be declared a National Historic Architectural Monument in 1926.
