Palacios y Museos' offer for the institutions is a comprehensive shop/bookshop service, always adapted to the specific requirements of each centre. Our vast experience in the management of museum shops has provided us all the necessary skills and tools needed to achieve excelent results:

  • A high-quality and diverse products and publications supply related to the elements of the exhibitions and institutions, always with a good quality-price ratio.
  • Management and control of all the stages prior to the opening of the shop, as well as the aspects connected with the daily routine: refurbishing and conceptual decoration, designing of exclusive products, management of purchases and production, marketing, setting up, packaging, staff selection, hire and training, logistics and sales management, answer to the customers' suggestions, job security, taxes and other legal aspects, liability insurances, etc.


At Palacios y Museos, we consider that shops at museums or at any other monument must include a reference bookshop where visitors (and every interested person, in general) could find an extensive and complete bibliographical collection about the various subjects related to each insitution, its works of art, its history, the design of its building, etc.

The possession of a good bookshop makes it possible for the cultural institutions to fulfill one of their mais missions: to provide visitors with the means to acquire and/or extend their knowledge about the collections housed in their museums. This service strengthens and facilitates the museum’s role as spreader of culture.

  • Offering a wide range of services intended to facilitate visitors’ knowledge of the bibliographical collection and to favour the purchases of the publications: clear signage, appropriately-trained staff, systems for consultation…
  • Maintaining dynamism in the products so they are always connected to the museum’s exhibiting activity: temporary exhibitions, lectures, courses, workshops… Our goal is to show the image of the institution through its shop, a space where the visitors have a large and carefully-selected range of productsat their disposal, and where they receive quality treatment.
